    THE LETN Hosted System Recovery Solution – Plain Speak

    Our solution provides for the following in the event that your office is rendered unusable and or your Servers are damaged beyond use / inaccessible

    By targeting your key business servers we are able to capture an entire working image of the servers and replicate this daily to our DataCentre in Reading.

    When a Disaster Recovery situation is invoked by one of your management team the LETN 2nd line support team will double check that the existing servers are down and then start your server images within our DataCentre.

    When the servers have started and have been checked they will be made accessible via a secure remote connection solution. The 2nd line support team will inform your management team that the servers are ready for use.

    A pre-provided document can then be used by all the network users to connect to the servers either from home using their laptops/home PC’s and an ADSL connection or a temporary office also with an Internet connection. This will be a simple process for the users who will only need to navigate to a preset website page and follow the instructions published there.

    The servers will be exact copies of the servers in your office meaning users can work on files and access their email (speeds may vary based on local user internet connections), outbound email will work immediately, inbound email will begin arriving after the required internet routing changes take effect, usually no more than a few hours.

    Our Hosted System Recovery Solution – Technical Speak

    In the event that your lose one or more critical production servers…

    We virtualize your critical servers and replicate them to our Reading DataCentre.

    You can invoke a failover to our DR platform as soon as you lose your production environment.

    The servers will be made available with routing changes in place within a few hours .

    Users access the DR environment using soft VPN clients available from a predefined web address i.e. URL: recovery.yourcompanydomain.co.uk (example)

    Our Facility

    LETN’s DataCentre is hosted within a Tier One facility in Reading. Already providing mission critical services to our clients this facility is a dedicated fully redundant Hosting Centre as well as one of the main Points of Internet Presence in the UK. Able to run for several weeks on Diesel alone if required, the facility boasts redundant power, cooling and Internet peerage meaning there are no single points of failure. Banks and Insurance companies alike use facilities like ours to ensure their critical systems are always available.
